Behind the Spiders and Skeletons: A Mum’s Mission to Spread Joy
Every October, our home transforms into what many locals now know as “The Spider House” or “The Halloween House.”
Giant spiders crawl across the walls, skeletons rise from the ground, and the glow of lights fills the street.
What started as a fun way to share my love of Halloween has become something much bigger — a tradition that brings people together, makes kids squeal with delight, and fills our community with laughter and excitement.
But this year, I wanted to take that magic one step further.
This year, we’re turning all that Halloween spirit into hope. 💙
We’re proudly raising funds for Make-A-Wish® Australia, helping grant life-changing wishes to children living with critical illnesses. These wishes aren’t just gifts — they’re moments that give kids strength to keep fighting, and families the chance to see their child light up with joy again.
As a mum, I know how precious childhood truly is — how every laugh, smile, and spark of wonder can mean everything. The thought of helping bring that light to a child who really needs it makes every spider, skeleton, and late night of decorating worth it.
✨ Every dollar dropped in our donation box or sent through the QR code goes directly to Make-A-Wish, helping turn children’s dreams into reality. ✨
So when you stop by our Halloween display — whether it’s to take photos, enjoy the decorations, or just soak in the atmosphere — please consider making a small donation. Even the smallest coin or tap can help create a moment a child will never forget.
Together, we can do something truly special.
We can make wishes come true while keeping the spooky spirit alive. 🕸️
From our family to yours, thank you for being part of this — for your kindness, your generosity, and for helping make this Halloween not just the spookiest… but the most meaningful one yet. 🎃🖤
My daughter waits whole year to see your house. It's her spider house!!. Thanks for putting in so much effort to bring the joy and excitement for all of our community. Just a small contribution from our family to say thankyou. You guys rock!
