Why am I doing this?

Life has a way of reminding us what’s truly important.

Every day, I get to celebrate life’s happiest moments by creating cakes for birthdays, baby showers, weddings, and milestones that bring families together. I get to see the smiles, the excitement, and the joy that comes from celebrating the people we love.

But not every family gets to experience those moments so easily.

There are families across Australia whose lives have been turned upside down by a child’s critical illness. Instead of planning birthday parties or family holidays, they’re navigating hospital appointments, treatments, and uncertainty. I can’t begin to imagine the strength it takes to face those challenges every single day.

As I thought about how fortunate I am to do what I love, I realised I wanted my business to stand for something more than beautiful cakes. I wanted it to create hope beyond the celebrations we make.

That’s why I’ve chosen to support Make-A-Wish Australia.

A wish may seem like a simple thing, but for a child facing a critical illness, it can be a moment of pure happiness, a chance to forget about hospitals, and an opportunity to simply be a kid again. Those moments are priceless not only for the children but for their families as well.
