Poppy's Wish: A Recipe for Joy
At just 9 years old, budding chef Poppy's passion for baking was put on hold when she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Despite her illness, Poppy's culinary dreams remained strong. She wished to make sausage rolls with her favorite chef and TV star, Justine Schofield.
In 2021, thanks to the support of generous fundraisers across Australia, Poppy's wish came true. She joined Justine on her show, Everyday Gourmet, to bake her special sausage rolls.
Now, you can bake Poppy's Sausage Rolls too by registering for Bake A Wish. With over 900 children like Poppy on a Wish Journey, every dollar you raise helps create more life-changing wishes.
"Even though it was Poppy with cancer, we have all been through it with her. Meeting Justine was like a reward for all of us. It was an incredible experience that we will never forget."
— Courtney, Poppy’s mum
