Coads Corner is born - and with purpose!

🎃 Welcome to Coads Corner

Halloween has been a big part of my life for many years.

What started as a Halloween party and haunted house at our previous home in Barongarook grew into many years of creating haunted experiences for our local community. Over the years I've spent countless hours designing, building and decorating, and I've discovered that what I love most isn't necessarily making things frightening — it's creating a little world that people can step into for a few minutes and forget the everyday world around them.

Now that we've moved into town, this year I'm creating something of my own — Coads Corner.

Coads Corner Colac is a family-friendly Halloween experience filled with witches, ghosts, potions, skeletons, jungle, swamp, fog and plenty of little details to discover. It's being built from the ground up, with a lot of imagination, a lot of recycled and repurposed materials, and probably far too many hours spent asking myself “I wonder if I could make that?” 😂

But this year I've decided to add something extra.

I'm taking part in Make-A-Wish Australia's Hallowish and using Coads Corner as an opportunity to give a little something back to the community.

For children living with critical illness, a wish can provide something incredibly important — joy, hope and something wonderful to look forward to.

Halloween is all about imagination, wonder and a little bit of magic. I can't think of a better cause to support while creating a little of that magic here at Coads Corner.

So while I'm busy building haunted pathways, brewing imaginary potions and trying to make a garage look like a completely different world, I'll also be raising money for Make-A-Wish Australia.
