Why I Do Halloween for Our Town 🎃🧡
Every year, I put time, creativity and a whole lot of love into creating a Halloween setup for our town — and honestly, it’s about so much more than Halloween.
It’s about community spirit.
I love creating something that brings people together, gives families a reason to get out and about, and adds a little bit of magic to everyday life. There’s something so special about seeing children’s faces light up when they see the decorations, costumes and spooky surprises.
But the best part? It’s not just the little kids who get excited. The big kids love it too! 👻
Halloween gives us permission to be silly, dress up, have fun and embrace a little bit of childhood magic — no matter how old we are. For a moment, we can put the grown-up stuff aside and simply enjoy something fun together.
I believe our towns need more moments like that. Moments that create smiles, memories and connection. Moments where neighbours come together, families laugh and children get to experience that wonderful feeling of excitement and wonder.
So yes, I do Halloween because I love decorating and creating. But more importantly, I do it because seeing our community enjoy it makes every bit of effort worth it.
If I can create a little happiness, bring a few people together and give our kids — and our big kids — something to look forward to, then that’s a pretty good reason to keep doing it. 🎃🖤
