Once Upon a Scream… We’re Making Our Biggest Wish Yet!
For the past two Halloweens, our community has helped us turn a night of spooky fun into something truly magical.
In our first year participating in Make-A-Wish Australia’s Hallowish program, together we raised an incredible $10,000. Last year, we went bigger, raising $15,000 and finishing as the number one Hallowish fundraiser in Australia for the second year running.
This year, we are summoning every witch, wizard, monster and mischief-maker we can find—because we have set our most ambitious goal yet:
$25,000 for Make-A-Wish Australia!
Welcome to Life Sumo’s Once Upon a Scream, where our spectacular Witch-A-Con is taking over the neighbourhood!
This Halloween, the fairytales you remember have taken a wonderfully wicked turn. The witches are holding a convention, the pumpkins have gone into business, the gingerbread house may not be entirely trustworthy, and some familiar storybook characters have found themselves in hilariously unfortunate circumstances.
It will be creepy, quirky, theatrical and packed with family-friendly fun—but behind every cobweb, cauldron and crooked fairytale is a cause that means the world to us.
The children supported by Make-A-Wish face challenges far more frightening than anything we could ever create for Halloween. Their courage is extraordinary. A wish gives a child with a critical illness something powerful to look forward to—a moment of joy, hope and possibility when it is needed most.
That is why we build. That is why we fundraise. And that is why, in our third year, we are determined to make this our biggest Hallowish yet.
