Why I’m Doing This 💙🎃🌈

This year, Halloween means a little more to me.

I’m not just fundraising for Make-A-Wish Australia because it’s a wonderful cause. I’m doing it because my beautiful boy, Itherial, is walking a journey that no child should ever have to walk.

Since our world was turned upside down, I’ve found myself looking at things differently. As a mum, you always want to protect your children from the hard things in life. You want to take away their pain, their fear and their uncertainty. You want to fix everything for them.

But sometimes, you can’t.

What you can do is surround them with love. Give them hope. Create moments of happiness. And remind them that there is still magic, even during the hardest chapters.

That’s why Make-A-Wish has touched my heart so deeply. ✨

For children living with critical illnesses, a wish can be so much more than a wish. It can give them something to look forward to. Something to dream about. Something that brings joy and excitement back into their lives when so much of their world can feel centred around appointments, hospitals, tests and uncertainty.

As a mum of a child going through his own childhood cancer journey, I understand just how precious those moments of joy can be.

I’m doing this for Itherial. 💙
I’m doing it for every little warrior facing something they never should have had to face.
I’m doing it for their siblings, their parents and their families who are navigating this journey alongside them.

And I’m doing it because every child deserves to have something to dream about. 🌈✨

There are currently more than 900 Australian children on a Wish Journey with Make-A-Wish. Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps bring a little more hope and magic into the lives of these incredible kids.

So this Halloween, instead of just dressing up and collecting treats, I’m hoping we can help create something truly special.

A little hope.
A little magic.
A reason to smile.
A wish come true. 💙✨
