Can you help me bring more inspirational wishes to life for hundreds of seriously ill children across Australia?

Your support to Make-A-Wish will make a world of difference to hundreds of Australian kids with critical illnesses. From the simple to the seemingly impossible, wishes complement medical treatment, working to calm, distract and empower sick children when they need it most. When a wish is realised, a child discovers that despite their situation, anything is possible.

With every donation, we are one step closer to granting a wish for every eligible child in Australia. Together we are giving sick kids hope, joy and inspiration through the power of a wish – thank you for your support!

Final costume has arrived for my 30km Walk for Wishes. As you can probably tell it didn't cost a lot of money..WHAT ISSS A LOT OF MONEY is how much we've managed to raise for this event. incredible. Absolutely Insane!

This page has been live for only about 2 hours and I've already exceeded 50% percent of the goal. Thank you all. I am going to raise the bar to $750 and see if we can't smash this thing. I've put up a few posters in Maitland. Thank you to Hunter River Dragons, Lifeblood maitland and Sun Street Studios for allowing me to display.

Walk for Wishes (with the wizard)

Hello all! My name is Maxx Bradford-Lester. Make a Wish is a charity I hold very dear to my heart. They make life worth living for children who face some of the most daunting challenges in their every day life. I have been a Make a Wish volunteer for a year now and sponsoring them for years before. Now I want to take it a step further. I want to put myself in the shoes of these brave kids lives. Never comfortable, never resting. And to do this I've decided to a do a near-30k trek, dressed as a plonker and hopefully, with your help along the way, make some wishes come true.

On October 12th, I will be walking 29 kilometres from The Station in Newcastle to Mount Sugarloaf dressed as a bright blue wish-granting wizard. I should be looking at a 9 hour day with stops included.
7am - The Station
9.30am - Jesmond Park
12pm - Edgeworth town square
3.30pm - Mount Sugarloaf lookout, (Victory with a view!!!)
You are welcome to come cheer me on, bright and early, or join in along the way. But I would appreciate if you could spare a small tax-deductable donation to Make A Wish in honour of this event.
