Lizzie's wish to help kids make their dreams come true

Your support to Make-A-Wish will make a world of difference to hundreds of Australian kids with critical illnesses. From the simple to the seemingly impossible, wishes complement medical treatment, working to calm, distract and empower sick children when they need it most. When a wish is realised, a child discovers that despite their situation, anything is possible.

Cut hair to fundraise?

Lizzie had recently cut her hair to donate it to the kids going through cancer treatment, and that is when we had an idea to fundraise for Make a Wish.

We thought about and thanked God for so many wonderful people and organisations who helped us through those really hard years. Lizzie picked Make a Wish to fundraise for.

Make a Wish made it MAGICAL

Make a wish didn't just made Lizzie's wish come true, they exceeded all our expectations.

Lizzie was able to go to the snow with all of us for a week and learn skiing and even go husky sledding.

Why we chose Make a Wish?

Lizzie would like to fundraise for Make a Wish because when she was really sick and we all as a family had to be really brave to fight against Leukemia, Make a Wish made Lizzie's wish come true.

When in her second year of chemotherapy Lizzie was starting to get her hair back, we found out about Make a Wish through our hospital staff. It was wonderful to dream together and imagine what Lizzie would like to choose as her wish.

Lizzie's dream was to go to the snow.
