From the simple to the seemingly impossible, wishes complement medical treatment, working to calm, distract and empower sick children when they need it most. When a wish is realised, a child discovers that despite their situation, anything is possible.

How YOUR donation changes the lives of sick children

Every year, many young children around the globe are diagnosed and kept in hospital with serious chronic illnesses. These poor kids are forced to keep afloat in a sea of pain, stress and sadness, navigating the treacherous waters of life and death. By donating to Make-A-Wish foundation, you are helping this wonderful organisation grant inspiring wishes to children stuck in hospitals with sometimes terminal diseases. From meeting their favourite celebrity to going on an unforgettable adventure, your donation can grant children a wish from the heart that they'll never forget.

In a world of conflict and disease, even the smallest donation can save lives, minds and our own futures. It is a charity that sits close to my, and my peers' heart, as we are children ourselves. Charity Music Concert - Music for a Good Cause

We are delighted to invite you to a special charity music concert in support of Make-A-Wish Foundation Australia.

This event will be presented by a group of passionate, music-loving year 6 boys of Sydney Grammar School — Bryan B, Leon C, Thomas C, Lucas F, Daniel R, Nolan S, James X, and Jason Z with special guests from the Maffey String year 6 cohort, and is scheduled to take place at:

12PM to 1pm on Saturday 26 October 2024,

in the Utzon Room, Opera House.

Sponsored by The Violin Centre in Gordon and The Sydney String Centre in Chatswood, this event is more than just a concert – it’s an opportunity to come together as a community and make a real impact. Our goal is to raise over $3,000+ through ticket sales and donations, with all proceeds going directly to Make-A-Wish Australia to help grant life-changing wishes to critically ill children.

This concert is part of the school's Trailblazers initiative, and your generous support will make a meaningful difference for those families in need.
