Make wishes come true

Put on your fairy best and have some fun! Your school can make an amazing difference - helping bring wishes to life for really sick kids.

Why dress up?

Kids love helping other kids – and they definitely love wishes – which makes fundraising with Make-A-Wish a great fit for your school.

There’s so many ways kids can get involved and challenge themselves, while learning about helping others.

Even if you're remote learning or teaching, we have ideas that can still work for you!

With more than 800 critically ill kids waiting for a wish, your school will make a life-changing difference.

Spooktacular school fundraising ideas

The best part about Wear What You Wish is it can be whatever you want it to be! Here are our ideas that might work for students, in person or at home.

Remember, the most important part is that you rally your school community, ask people to donate, and celebrate the difference you are making to more than 800 seriously ill kids on a Wish Journey right now.

Remote learning

Incorporate a dress-up activity into your wellbeing day and encourage students to learn about helping others. Encourage their parents to send in picture so you can share with your school community.

Moustache madness!

Challenge students to wear a crazy hat or a moustache for the day – you could get them to set a goal of hours and raise money for each hour they stay dressed up.

Curly whirly

Most kids have a dress up box, why not ask them to pull out a wig and wear for your virtual class. It can be colourful, curly, weird or a little bit scary if you want to get in the spooktacular spirit.

Dress up day

If your students are at school, why not plan a dress up or free dress day! Ask everyone to bring a gold coin donation of course.

Please remember to check all COVID-19 requirements and restrictions that apply to your proposed event and ensure your event is run in compliance with all applicable guidelines, restrictions and other requirements.
